Tamil Nadu TVK Legislator and Kancheepuram Villagers Protest Government Actions

A TVK legislator from Puducherry, A K Sai J Saravanan Kumar, led a protest in Tamil Nadu condemning opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin for alleged derogatory remarks about actress Trisha made during a Cauvery issue demonstration. Kumar urged Stalin to refrain from attacking TVK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, praising Vijay’s anti‑corruption administration.

In the Kancheepuram district, residents of four villages near Uthiramerur staged a demonstration against the revival of the Marudham SIPCOT industrial park. The protest, organized by the Indian Farmers' Association and local political groups, warned that the 803‑acre project would convert agricultural fields, lakes and ponds, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of farming families and the region’s ecological balance. Protesters demanded the state withdraw the proposal and threatened further action if it proceeds.
