Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam criticizes DMK leadership
The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has issued a sharp critique of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leadership, specifically targeting DMK president MK Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin.
In a statement released by the TVK IT wing, the party accused the father and son of reducing the legacy of the party founded by C. N. Annadurai to a “complete mess” and “shambles.” The TVK claimed the leadership appears unsettled, citing their recent political rhetoric regarding historical power cuts in Tamil Nadu during the 2006 DMK regime.
The TVK further alleged that the DMK's use of violent imagery, such as references to “sickle attacks,” serves to remind voters of the party’s history of political violence, including the hacking death of former minister Tha. Kiruttinan. The TVK criticized Udhayanidhi Stalin for discussing these historical issues during a wedding ceremony.
