Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam defends by-election wins in Madurantakam and Dharapuram

Following the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) victories in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram by-elections, party representatives and political figures have addressed various criticisms regarding the results.

TVK MLA Abhishek denied allegations that the party relied on coalition support or that voter interest in leader Vijay is declining, stating that the party’s vote percentage actually increased. He also dismissed claims of voter bribery, such as the distribution of money or goods, asserting that the party has no agenda for such practices.

In a separate statement, Annamalai praised the TVK for winning the by-elections without engaging in cash-for-votes tactics. His comments were made during an event in Coimbatore hosted by the ‘We the Leaders’ organization, which also focused on launching a political training center named after APJ Abdul Kalam.
