MLB players face injuries as Rays, Guardians, and Mariners adjust rosters

Major League Baseball teams are facing several roster changes due to injuries. The Tampa Bay Rays have placed infielder Ben Williamson on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to August 6) due to a right hamstring strain. Additionally, the Rays' pitching rotation faces further depletion as right-handed pitcher Griffin Jax has been placed on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to August 6) with right elbow discomfort. Michael Grove has been recalled from Triple-A Durham to fill Jax's spot.

In other league news, the Cleveland Guardians placed Slade Cecconi on the 15-day injured list due to right arm fatigue, with Franco Aleman being called up from Triple-A Columbus.
