Tampa Bay retail theft operation leads to $300K recovery
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has dismantled an organized retail theft operation in the Tampa Bay area, recovering approximately $300,000 in stolen merchandise. The investigation led to the arrest of four individuals.
Detectives identified Adonys Diaz Suarez, Ariel Serrano Suarez, and Diosvelys Morales Torres as suspects responsible for stealing items including hard liquor, high-end fragrances, and clothing from retailers such as Sam’s Club, Walmart, Lululemon, and Victoria’s Secret. The suspects allegedly concealed merchandise and transported it to a residence to be fenced.
Armando Quintana was also arrested for allegedly purchasing the stolen goods to resell them online and directly to customers. During a search of Quintana’s residence, authorities recovered the bulk of the stolen property.
