Tampico Civil Registry suspended due to power outage

The First Civil Registry Office in Tampico, Tamaulipas, has suspended services for three consecutive days due to a power outage. The disruption affects more than 150 daily users and prevents the processing of essential documents, including birth, death, and divorce certificates, as well as the delivery of birth certificates.

Lluvia Ortega Maldonado, the official in charge of the dependency, stated that the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has received reports regarding the failure. The issue is reportedly linked to burnt cables located near the border of the Historic Center and the Cascajal neighborhood. While officials hope to restore electricity by Friday, no specific time for the resumption of services has been confirmed.
