She said a personal shift – influenced by friend Teddi Mellencamp’s stage‑4 cancer diagnosis and her own family difficulties, including an estranged daughter – led her to “let her guard down” and change her on‑screen approach.

Judge acknowledged one dispute with longtime cast member Vicki Gunvalson, which centered on comments about her child.
