Tamás Bódog suspended for four matches after Debrecen-Nyíregyháza controversy
Nyíregyháza Spartacus head coach Tamás Bódog has received a four-match suspension following a controversial NB I match against Debrecen. The incident occurred during the final stages of the game, which Debrecen won 1-0.
During the match, Attila Temesvári received a second yellow card in the 92nd minute, leaving Nyíregyháza with ten players. Bódog reacted aggressively toward the referee, leading to his own red card. The coach has criticized the officiating, alleging that the match was ‘cheated’ and claiming that a player from Debrecen should have been sent off instead of Temesvári.
Nyíregyháza has formally contacted the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ). While the club did not contest Temesvári's dismissal, they acknowledged that a red card should have been issued to Bence Batik.
