Tamworth charity shop bike theft prompts police appeal

Police in Staffordshire are seeking information about a man who stole a bicycle from a charity shop display at the Ankerside Shopping Centre in Tamworth on 18 July. The suspect, described as a white male aged 50‑60 with white hair, medium build, wearing a dark Adidas top with three white stripes, dark trousers, white trainers and carrying a white carrier bag, was captured on CCTV wheeling the bike away.

Officers have asked the public to contact them via 101 or Crimestoppers, quoting incident number 216 of 23 July, to help identify the individual.

The theft was reported as a cruel act against a local charity, and the appeal emphasizes the need for community assistance to recover the bike and bring the perpetrator to justice.
