Vietnam authorities arrest multiple individuals for various crimes

Authorities in Vietnam have conducted several criminal investigations and arrests across different sectors. In Can Tho, Lý Tín Phước, owner of the Facebook account ‘Tphuoc Ly’, has been arrested and detained. He is accused of abusing democratic freedoms to post content that insulted the honor and reputation of the Can Tho People's Court and Vietcombank Can Tho branch.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Thân Văn Tấn was arrested for obstructing air traffic after flying kites with flashing lights near Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which affected 16 flights. Additionally, police identified and resolved a case involving a taxi driver who overcharged a foreign tourist.

Other legal actions include the prosecution of Vũ Thị Hường in Hai Phong for using borax in food production, and the arrest of Nguyễn Văn Anh in Lao Cai for construction violations related to river embankment projects that caused state losses exceeding 13 billion VND. In Dak Lak, police apprehended two individuals for a series of hospital thefts involving disguising themselves as patient caregivers.
