Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports rank in world's top 50 most connected hubs

Two Vietnamese airports, Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai, have been named among the top 50 most connected airports in the world for 2026, according to the OAG Megahubs report.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City ranks 48th, offering 8,441 valid connection combinations to 100 destinations. Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi entered the top 50 for the first time, rising eight spots to rank 49th with 8,679 connection options serving 105 destinations. While Noi Bai offers more connection combinations, Tan Son Nhat maintains a higher seat capacity. Vietnam Airlines holds significant market shares at both hubs, with 37% at Tan Son Nhat and 35% at Noi Bai.

Globally, Istanbul Airport has overtaken London Heathrow to become the world's best-connected airport, serving 337 locations. London Heathrow fell to second place, a decline attributed to disruptions in flights to and from the Middle East. Other top-ranked hubs include Amsterdam Schiphol in third place and Kuala Lumpur in fourth.
