Tan Thuan Phong Director Indicted for Accounting and Environmental Violations

Bui Van Binh, Director and Chairman of Tan Thuan Phong Co., Ltd., has been indicted alongside four other defendants in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The charges involve serious violations of accounting regulations and causing environmental pollution.

According to the indictment, Binh allegedly directed subordinates to maintain two separate accounting systems, keeping over 410 billion VND in scrap metal sales revenue off the books. This action reportedly caused a loss of more than 12 billion VND in value-added tax to the state budget.

Additionally, Binh and his son, Bui Duc Huy, are accused of illegally transferring solid waste to an unqualified processing facility. The indictment also reveals that Binh allegedly instructed his daughter, Bui Thuy Linh, to arrange a sum of over 50 billion VND to be given to his second wife, Tran Thi Giang Huong, in an attempt to mitigate legal consequences and reduce penalties.
