Taťána Kuchařová outlines goals for Human Rights Council

Taťána Kuchařová, the first Czech Miss World winner, has outlined her objectives following her appointment to the Government Council for Human Rights. Her nomination has faced criticism from some human rights organizations, which raised concerns regarding her public profile and past personal controversies.

Kuchařová has responded by detailing her intended focus areas, emphasizing her extensive experience working with seniors through her foundation, Beauty Helps (Nadace Krása pomoci). Her work has historically addressed issues such as dignified aging, loneliness among the elderly, and the impact of gender pay gaps on pensions. She also noted her support for the Istanbul Convention regarding domestic violence.

In her new role as a representative of the civic and expert public, Kuchařová intends to advocate for several key issues, most notably the right of older individuals to make decisions regarding their own lives and care.
