Tanah Laut Women's Organization promotes household electrical safety

The Gabungan Organisasi Wanita (GOW) of Tanah Laut Regency in South Kalimantan is encouraging women to act as pioneers for electrical safety within the home. Wiwi Zazuli, Chairperson of GOW Tanah Laut, emphasized that understanding safe electricity usage is vital to preventing household accidents such as short circuits and electric shocks.

To minimize risks, the organization recommends using equipment that meets Indonesian National Standards (SNI), avoiding overloading electrical sources, and conducting regular inspections of home installations. Zazuli noted that mothers hold a strategic role in educating family members to detect potential electrical issues early and to avoid handling electrical malfunctions without proper knowledge.
