Tangará da Serra Regional Hospital construction reaches 72% completion
Governor Otaviano Pivetta inspected the construction of the Tangará da Serra Regional Hospital, which is currently 72% complete. The project, involving an investment of over R$ 139 million, is expected to be finished by the end of the year, with full operation projected for 2026. The facility will feature 151 beds, including 40 intensive care units (ICU).
During the visit, State Deputy Dr. João presented two additional strategic proposals to the Governor to strengthen the region's infrastructure: the establishment of an Oncology Center to provide local chemotherapy treatments and the creation of a free medical degree program through the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat). These initiatives aim to reduce the need for patients to travel to other centers for specialized care and to establish Tangará da Serra as a regional healthcare and educational hub.
