Tangerang Kasatpol PP reported to police for alleged sexual harassment

The Banten Regional Police (Polda Banten) have received a formal report regarding an alleged sexual harassment incident involving the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) of Tangerang Regency, identified by the initials AS.

The complainant, identified as B, alleges that the incident occurred within the workplace in early September 2026. According to the report, the encounter began during a routine work meeting where the suspect allegedly initiated physical contact, including hugging and kissing, under the guise of a handshake.

Banten Police Public Relations Chief, Kombes Pol Maruli Ahiles Hutapea, stated that investigators are issuing task orders to conduct a thorough investigation and inquiry. Authorities are currently examining witnesses who may have seen or heard the incident to determine the facts of the case. At present, only one victim has officially filed a report.
