Tangerang residents receive aid following Anak Krakatau eruption

Following the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau, relief efforts are underway in the Tangerang and South Tangerang regions to mitigate the impact of volcanic ash on residents and infrastructure.

In Tangerang Regency, the Koramil 10/Sepatan of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) deployed water tanks to clean volcanic dust from major roads. The cleaning operation targeted vital mobility routes, including Jalan Raya Mauk, Jalan Raya Sulang, Jalan Raya Kebun Nangka, and Jalan Raya Pakuhaji, to improve visibility and air quality for commuters.

In South Tangerang, the organization Rumah Zakat Bintaro distributed 1,180 masks to protect citizens from respiratory risks. The aid was provided to outdoor workers, such as motorcycle taxi drivers and cleaning staff, as well as commuters at Jurangmangu Station and various educational institutions, including the Raudlatul Makfufin Blind Islamic Boarding School.
