Tangerang Selatan launches mosque digitalization and tech innovation program

The Tangerang Selatan City Government, through its Communication and Informatics Department (Diskominfo), has partnered with the Gerakan Pejuang Subuh (GPS) to launch a mosque digitalization program. The initiative aims to transform houses of worship into centers for digital literacy and technological innovation for the youth.

Scheduled for August 15, 2026, at the Al-Kautsar Villa Dago Mosque in Pamulang, the program seeks to address modern technological disruption. TB Asep Nurdin, Head of Diskominfo Tangsel, stated that strengthening digital literacy for students and mosque youth is a crucial foundation to combat disinformation and digital polarization.

The initiative includes the establishment of the GPS Digital Academy & Innovation Center. The goal is to equip the younger generation with advanced technical skills, such as coding, educational content creation, and the use of artificial intelligence, to foster a resilient and globally competitive community-based economic ecosystem.
