Tangerang warehouses destroyed in massive fire

A massive fire destroyed between 26 and 28 warehouse buildings in the Kosambi Permai warehouse area, located in the Kosambi District of Tangerang Regency, Banten. The blaze reportedly originated from a spring bed warehouse and spread rapidly, causing some structures to collapse.

Emergency response efforts involved 30 personnel and six fire engines from the Tangerang Regency BPBD, alongside assistance from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport fire department. The Polda Metro Jaya Brimob unit also deployed armored water cannons to assist in extinguishing the flames and securing the perimeter.

Authorities stated that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. While the fire occurred near the outskirts of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, airport operations remained normal. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, though officials noted that a delay in reporting the incident may have contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
