Tangier authorities investigate alleged electoral fraud at Al-Quds School
Authorities in Tangier have launched a judicial investigation following allegations of electoral fraud during the legislative elections on September 23. The incident occurred at Al-Quds School, where voting office number 84 was closed after political party representatives protested alleged irregularities.
Investigations began after an individual was caught with a bag containing hundreds of suspected forged electoral papers. As of the latest reports, four individuals have been detained, including two heads of election departments at the center. Police also seized a vehicle suspected of being used to transport the fraudulent documents.
The case gained significant public attention after videos circulated on social media showing a glass ballot box containing white envelopes arranged in a suspicious manner. While some online discussions attempted to link the incident to the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), the party's regional leadership has officially denied any involvement, characterizing the claims as a defamation campaign. The Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigation to determine the source of the papers and establish legal responsibility.
