Tangier hosts 12th National Micro-Enterprise Awards

The city of Tangier hosted the 12th edition of the National Micro-Enterprise Awards, honoring 26 small project holders from various regions across Morocco. Notably, 18 of the award recipients were women.

Organized by the Mohammed VI Center for the Support of Solidarity Micro-credits in partnership with the National Federation of Micro-credit Associations, the event operated under the theme ‘Fields, Competencies, and Successes.’ The awards were distributed across eight distinct categories, including youth entrepreneurship, responsible tourism, creative micro-enterprises, green economy, human development, women-led micro-enterprises, and very small enterprises.

Nezha Belkeziz, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed VI Center, emphasized that micro-finance serves as a vital lever for economic and social inclusion. She noted that the awards celebrate individuals who have successfully transformed their skills into productive projects that create value and employment within their communities.
