Tangier police arrest Swedish national wanted via Interpol Red Notice

Moroccan authorities in Tangier have arrested a 27-year-old Swedish national who was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice. The arrest was carried out by the National Judicial Police Brigade following a database check.

The individual is suspected of involvement in international drug trafficking and the unauthorized possession of automatic firearms. The arrest warrant was issued by Swedish judicial authorities through the National Central Bureau in Stockholm.

Moroccan security services have initiated extradition procedures. The National Central Bureau in Rabat, acting as Morocco's Interpol office, is coordinating with Swedish counterparts to facilitate the legal transfer of the suspect.
