The controversy began when Llasera posted a video discussing the case of Lindsay Clancy, an American nurse accused of killing her three children. Llasera used the case to reflect on the exhaustion, loneliness, and mental health challenges that can accompany motherhood, noting that Clancy's defense has cited postpartum-related mental health issues.

Her remarks drew widespread criticism and a sharp reaction from Adriana Abenia. After deleting the original video and attempting to clarify her intentions, Llasera decided to step away from her platforms, stating she felt “overwhelmed” by the situation.
