Tania Vanessa “N” seeks psychiatric evaluation to contest detention

Tania Vanessa “N”, the former mayor of Múzquiz, is seeking a specialized psychiatric evaluation as part of a legal strategy to modify her current detention conditions. She is currently held in preventive prison at the female correctional center in Saltillo.

The former official faces multiple criminal proceedings, including allegations of embezzlement (peculado) and abuse of functions. Specifically, she is accused of improper involvement in municipal contracts and leases, as well as the alleged diversion of municipal resources and assets.
