Tanja Hewer, formerly Michelle, debuts radical new look and career

Former German Schlager singer Michelle, born Tanja Hewer, has undergone a radical transformation following her retirement from the stage. The 54-year-old has shaved her long blonde hair down to just one centimeter, describing the change as a symbolic step toward her true self and a new chapter in her life.

Hewer, who has sold approximately 4.5 million records over a 30-year career, is transitioning away from her stage persona to focus on spiritual work. She has launched a new professional path as a soul coach and healer, offering sessions via Zoom that focus on processing childhood experiences, negative belief systems, and emotional burdens.

She clarified that the drastic haircut was a planned decision to mark her new beginning and was not an impulsive reaction to her recent separation from singer Eric Philippi.
