Tanjung Lesung SEZ investment reaches Rp2.5 trillion

Investment in the Tanjung Lesung Tourism Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Banten province has reached over Rp2.5 trillion. PT Banten West Java (BWJ) Tourism Development reported that the area has also absorbed approximately 6,500 workers to date.

President Director Purnomo Siswoprastijo noted that the development of the zone is expected to accelerate with the construction of the Serang-Panimbang toll road, which will improve connectivity and boost tourism investment in the surrounding areas.

Banten Governor Andra Soni and the Head of the Banten Tourism Office, Ely Susiyana, emphasized that the SEZ is a key driver for regional economic growth. Efforts are being made through collaboration between central and local governments and the private sector to reposition Banten as a primary destination for tourists.
