Tanjungpinang authorities crack down on overloaded vehicles

The Tanjungpinang Transportation Agency (Dishub) conducted a joint operation with the police and military on September 21, 2026, to improve road safety and enforce technical vehicle requirements. The operation specifically targeted Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) vehicles, which officials noted pose significant dangers to other road users.

During the enforcement action, authorities intercepted nine transport vehicles. Six units, including pickups, trucks, and box cars, were issued citations for failing to meet technical roadworthiness standards. Three large trucks were identified as violating dimension and load regulations, with the ticketing process for these ODOL violations being handled by the police.
