Tanjungpinang reports growth in logistics and stable food stocks

Logistics and food supply operations in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, have reported positive developments for the first half of 2026.

PT Pelindo Multi Terminal reported an increase in port service performance. General and bag cargo handling rose by 15.84 percent to 186,021 tons/m³, while liquid bulk services increased by 9.10 percent to 13,512 tons. Passenger services also saw a 4.19 percent increase, with 1,133,299 passengers served, supporting inter-island connectivity in the region.

Simultaneously, Perum Bulog has confirmed the stability of food stocks in the city. During a working visit to inspect operational readiness and distribution, officials verified warehouse stocks including 1,705 tons of PSO rice, with an additional 1,000 tons in transit. Other available commodities include 94 tons of cooking oil and 22.2 tons of other food items.
