Tanta hosts final night of Sayyid al-Badawi Mawlid celebrations

The city of Tanta in the Gharbia Governorate is hosting the final night of the Sayyid al-Badawi Mawlid, a major religious event attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from various Egyptian governorates and Arab and Islamic countries.

Governor Alaa Abdel Moati has overseen preparations, noting that executive and service agencies are working around the clock to ensure safety and comfort for attendees. The celebrations include enhanced medical services, ambulance readiness, and traffic management to facilitate movement around the Ahmadi Mosque. The governor emphasized that the event serves as a significant religious and community occasion that stimulates local trade and economic activity in the region.

Large crowds have gathered at the Ahmadi Mosque square in anticipation of a spiritual performance by renowned chanter Sheikh Yassin al-Tohamy. Security forces have implemented a comprehensive plan involving traffic control, civil defense, and health directorates to manage the massive gatherings and maintain order throughout the festivities.
