Tanxugueiras face boycott during Palencia concert

The musical group Tanxugueiras experienced a boycott during their recent concert in Palencia. A group of protesters, identified by the use of Spanish flags, caused a 40-minute delay to the performance by shouting slogans such as ‘Pedro Sánchez dimisión’ and ‘death to Galicia.’

Following the incident, members Aida Tarrío, Olaia Maneiro, and Sabela Maneiro released a video on social media addressing the event. They described the situation as ‘very unpleasant’ and expressed concern regarding the dangers of verbal and physical violence. The group emphasized their commitment to continuing their work, stating they will keep ‘carrying our language and our culture throughout the world’ despite the hostility.
