Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank trains community radio stations

The Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) conducted a seminar in Dodoma for approximately 50 owners and editors of community radio stations from mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. The training, held from May 23 to 25, 2026, aimed to increase awareness regarding TADB's roles and the financial opportunities available through the bank.

Participants received training on reporting agricultural sector developments, agricultural financing, and the role of financial institutions in driving economic growth. The initiative seeks to strengthen cooperation between community media and TADB to educate farmers, pastoralists, and fishers on financial empowerment opportunities. Mkani Waziri, TADB's Director of Planning, Advisory, and Institutional Relations, emphasized the importance of media in educating the public about the financial sector's contribution to national agricultural development.
