Tanzania allocates 600 million shillings for Makambako health center
The Tanzanian government will allocate 600 million shillings to the Makambako Town Council to construct the Kitandililo Health Center. Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (TAMISEMI), Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, announced that the funds will be delivered before December 2026.
The project aims to improve primary healthcare access, reduce maternal and child mortality rates, and lower medical and transport costs for local residents. This initiative is part of the broader National Development Vision 2050 to strengthen community health and human resources.
Additionally, the government is reviewing requests to construct two more dispensaries in the region. The announcement was made during a visit by Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi to inspect development projects in the Njombe region.
