Tanzania and Comoros seek to deepen economic cooperation
Tanzania and Comoros are working to deepen economic cooperation across several key sectors, including trade, investment, financial services, and infrastructure development. During a meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzanian Minister for Finance Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar and Comorian Minister for Finance, Budget and Banking Sector Moussa Abderemane discussed strategies to strengthen bilateral relations.
Minister Omar emphasized the importance of creating a conducive environment to facilitate the movement of goods, services, capital, and businesspeople between the two nations to boost employment and investment. Key areas identified for potential growth include energy, tourism, agriculture, and public financial management.
Minister Abderemane expressed interest in learning from Tanzania’s progress in utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems for government revenue collection and management.
