Tanzania Minister orders road readiness for Morogoro–Dodoma route

Tanzanian Minister of Works, Masanja Kadogosa, has directed authorities to strengthen preparations for managing rain-related impacts on the Morogoro–Dumila–Dodoma road. The focus is on the Mkundi Bridge area in the Kilosa district within the Morogoro region to ensure the route remains passable during heavy rains and flooding.

As a vital link for transporting goods and people from the port to various regions in Tanzania and neighboring countries like Rwanda and Burundi, the Minister emphasized the need for early precautions. These measures include identifying high-risk areas, preparing alternative routes, and accelerating plans for the construction of a new bridge to maintain economic connectivity.
