Tanzania Police issue warning against planned unrest

In a statement released on October 26, 2026, Police Commissioner (DCP) David Alphonce Misime noted that the force is closely monitoring plans and mobilizations being promoted by certain religious, political, and activist leaders both within the country and abroad.

The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining national peace and stability, stating that legal action will be taken against anyone involved in criminal activities or the destruction of infrastructure used for public services.
