Tanzania Premier League: Kagera Sugar wins 3-1 as Simba SC defeats Yanga SC

In the Tanzania NBC Premier League, Kagera Sugar secured a 3-1 victory against Mbeya City at Sokoine Stadium. This win marks the first victory for Burundian coach Cedric Kaze since taking over the team in September. Mudathir Said was named player of the match after scoring two goals, while Emmanuel Mvuyekule and Hassan Haji 'Cheda' provided the other scores.

In the Kariakoo Derby, Simba SC defeated Yanga SC 2-1 at Uhuru Stadium. Yanga SC communications officer Ali Kamwe acknowledged the loss, noting that Simba ended a three-year streak without a league victory against Yanga. Kamwe urged fans to remain patient, stating that the result does not derail Yanga’s championship ambitions and emphasized the need to refocus on upcoming CAF Champions League fixtures.
