Tanzanian fashion designer and entrepreneur Mustafa Hassanali, founder of Swahili Fashion Week, will represent the country at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow from September 28 to 30, 2026.

The summit serves as a global platform for industry leaders, designers, investors, and entrepreneurs from Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Europe. Hassanali aims to utilize the event to showcase Tanzania’s creative potential and use fashion as a tool for cultural diplomacy.

By participating in this international forum, which has hosted professionals from 109 countries, Tanzania seeks to build commercial partnerships, exchange ideas regarding the future of the global fashion industry, and open new economic opportunities for local designers and entrepreneurs.
