Tanzania Vice President orders training for 30,000 youth
Tanzanian Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi has directed the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, and Agriculture to develop a practical training program for youth. The initiative aims to provide hands-on experience to at least 10,000 graduates within public institutions and organizations, while also targeting at least 20,000 youth for training in the private sector.
Speaking at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) while representing President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Ndejembi emphasized that this program is a strategic investment in the national workforce and a key component of the second pillar of the National Vision 2050. He noted a significant gap in current opportunities, citing TCU data that 62,570 students graduated from higher education in 2025, yet TAESA statistics indicate only 3,200 youth had participated in internship programs.
