Tanzanian student Fazel goes viral for singing Punjabi song
Fazel, a student from Tanzania currently living in Haryana, India, has gained significant social media attention for his rendition of the Punjabi song ‘Udaarian’ by Satinder Sartaaj. Despite not knowing the Punjabi language, Fazel’s video went viral due to his clear pronunciation and ability to sing without the use of auto-tune or professional studio equipment.
Fazel, who describes himself on Instagram as ‘an African boy lost in India,’ has been studying at Kurukshetra University for the past three years. In addition to Punjabi, he is known for singing in several other Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi. He also recently appeared on the popular show ‘India’s Got Latent’ hosted by comedian Samay Raina.
