Tanzania's TISEZA and TLS‑AYL sign three‑year deal to improve investor legal services
The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) and the Tanganyika Law Society Young Lawyers Association (TLS‑AYL) signed a three‑year cooperation agreement in Dar es Salaam on July 29. The pact aims to strengthen legal services for investors, build the capacity of young Tanzanian lawyers, and enhance the overall investment climate.
TISEZA Executive Director Gilead Teri said the partnership will train lawyers on investment law and entrepreneurship, enabling them to become “investment law experts capable of providing professional advice to investors and contributing to the country’s economic transformation.” TLS‑AYL Chair Emmanuel Ukashu added that the agreement will improve policy and regulatory frameworks, lower legal‑service costs for investors and create new employment and professional‑development opportunities for young lawyers.
