Taoyuan City holds joint sports meet for Youth Service Centers

The Taoyuan City Government Social Affairs Bureau held the ‘Wings Against the Wind – Peak Showdown’ joint sports meet for the city’s Youth Service Centers. The event featured parent-child competitions and three-on-three basketball games designed to help youth build confidence, learn cooperation, and foster positive interactions with their families.

In addition to the athletic activities, a welfare promotion fair was held to raise public awareness regarding youth services and to strengthen the local support network. Chen Bao-min, Director of the Social Affairs Bureau, emphasized that sports provide a positive stage for youth to overcome setbacks and learn sportsmanship.

Taoyuan has been actively expanding its Youth Service Center network since 2023. Following the establishment of a center in Bade District, two new locations were recently opened in Pingzhen and Taoyuan Districts. The city aims to complete the deployment of eight service centers by 2040 to provide localized prevention services and support for youth within their communities.
