Taoyuan completes Taolin Bicycle Path phase six
The Taoyuan City Government has completed the sixth phase of the Taolin Bicycle Path, creating a 17.5 kilometer green recreational corridor. The project, which cost approximately 50 million TWD and took 245 days to complete, added about 1 kilometer of pathway with a width of 2.5 meters.
The path utilizes the former Taiwan Railways Linkou Line, which was originally built in 1968 to transport coal to the Linkou Power Plant before ceasing operations in 2012. The completed route aims to connect with the cycling networks in Bali, New Taipei City, to the north and Yong'an Fishing Port to the south, integrating forest, wind, and coastal scenery into a low-carbon tourism route.
