Taoyuan Cup International Baseball Championship continues with multiple decisive wins

The 11th Taoyuan Cup International Baseball Championship continued on August 8, featuring several decisive victories across the youth and junior divisions.

In the junior division, Guangming Junior High School secured its first win with an 8-3 victory over Qiaotou Junior High, led by Ye Jia-heng, who contributed both as a pitcher and a hitter. Meanwhile, Xinming A dominated Kaohsiung Meinong with a 19-1 victory, highlighted by Xu Yong-tai’s three triples and five RBIs.

In the youth division, Dayong Elementary School achieved a comeback win against Taipei Shezi Elementary, finishing 8-2 thanks to a strong five-inning performance by pitcher Pu Shang-en. Additionally, Shangfeng Elementary School, led by former professional player Yang Sheng-jun, overcame an early deficit to defeat Yangxin Elementary 5-2 through tactical execution. Donghe Junior High School also secured a significant 11-0 win against Dayuan Junior High despite muddy field conditions.
