Taoyuan Hosts Major Cultural Festivities in July 2026

On July 18, 2026, Taoyuan’s Daxi District held the opening ceremony of the “2026 Daxi Da Xi” festival at the district’s integrated sports park. The event was attended by Mayor Zhang Shan‑zheng, cultural bureau chief Qiu Zhengsheng, police chief Liao Heng‑yu, and other local officials, who highlighted the celebration of the traditional Guan Sheng Emperor’s birthday and the district’s rich folk‑music heritage.

From July 16 to August 2, the Taoyuan Exhibition Center showcased the “2026 Peach Ode” art exhibition, organized by the Taoyuan City Art Association. More than 100 artists displayed around 140 works spanning ink painting, calligraphy, oil, watercolor, ceramics and mixed media. The exhibition featured speeches by Association chairperson Tang Shuang‑jin and Cultural Bureau deputy director Tang Lian‑cheng, as well as interactive installations and live art demonstrations for visitors.
