Taoyuan International Airport ranks 9th globally in cargo volume

Taoyuan International Airport has risen to 9th place in the global rankings for air cargo volume, according to the latest statistics from the Airports Council International (ACI). In 2025, the airport recorded an annual cargo volume of 2.5 million tons, representing a 10.1% increase from the previous year.

To manage this growth and the surge in cross-border e-commerce, the Taoyuan International Airport Corporation held a symposium to develop operational standards for a new smart cargo park. The meeting included representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, the Civil Aeronautics Administration, customs, and major airlines such as China Airlines, EVA Air, and Starlux Airlines. The goal is to establish unified management protocols, service level agreements (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure seamless cross-departmental collaboration.

The initiative aims to implement intelligent management and real-time information exchange mechanisms. Experts from Singapore were also invited to share best practices regarding the development of successful aviation logistics parks to assist in building a more efficient and resilient logistics environment.
