Taoyuan launches digital Pearl Coast Passport tourism campaign

The Taoyuan City Government Tourism Bureau has introduced the “With the Sea Series: Pearl Coast Passport” digital coin collection activity. Running until November 22, 2026, the initiative encourages travelers to visit four coastal districts in Taoyuan: Luzhu, Dayuan, Guanyin, and Xinwu.

Participants can use the “Visit Taoyuan” app to check in at designated local businesses, including leisure farms, cafes, and restaurants, using GPS technology to collect digital coins. Travelers can redeem these coins for 400 limited-edition prizes, such as picnic mats, specialty coffee packs, and local themed items.

In conjunction with the passport activity, the city is also hosting the “Shining Pearl Coast Image” photography competition until November 16, offering cash prizes of up to 8,000 TWD to encourage visitors to document the region's coastal scenery.
