Taquaruçu Gastronomic Festival announces 50 recipes for 20th edition
The 20th edition of the Taquaruçu Gastronomic Festival (FGT) in Palmas has announced its final selection of 50 recipes for the upcoming competition. Scheduled for September 3–6, the event features various categories including savory snacks, desserts, functional foods, food trucks, and regional drinks. A total prize pool of R$ 156,000 will be awarded to the winning dishes. The festival expects to attract approximately 200,000 visitors and will feature musical performances by artists such as Seu Jorge, Vanessa da Mata, Marina Sena, and Jorge Vercillo.
Other regional cultural and sporting events include the 30th Polo Chapada water polo championship in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, featuring athletes from Brazil and Canada, and the Festejos Farroupilhas in Rio Grande do Sul, celebrating Gaucho traditions from September 11–20. Additionally, the Monte Verde Bike Fest in Minas Gerais and the Interstate Band and Fanfare Championship in São José dos Pinhais are scheduled to host local community gatherings and musical competitions.
