Tar del Lazio annuls school decision regarding student with learning disabilities

The Tar del Lazio has annulled the decision to deny a student with specific learning disabilities (DSA) admission to the third year of high school. The court ruled that the school and the Ministry of Education failed to respect the student’s Personalized Didactic Plan (Pdp).

During remedial exams for subjects including Geohistory and Natural Sciences, the institution did not provide the required compensatory tools and used overly complex questions incompatible with the student's diagnosis. The court ordered the Ministry and the scientific high school in Caprarola to pay a combined 4,000 euros for moral damages and legal expenses, emphasizing that protections for DSA students must be strictly maintained during both regular instruction and assessment phases.
