Tarancón hosts II National Congress of Resurrected Brotherhoods

The town of Tarancón hosted the II National Congress of Resurrected Brotherhoods, bringing together representatives from various brotherhoods and confraternities across Spain. The event, held at the Municipal Auditorium, aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences regarding Holy Week traditions and religious heritage.

A key highlight of the congress was the blessing of a new image of 'Nuestro Padre Jesús Resucitado,' sculpted by Sevillian artist José Antonio Navarro Arteaga. The ceremony took place at the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and was presided over by the Bishop of Cuenca, José María Yanguas Sanz. The new sculpture joins the heritage of the Muy Antigua Hermandad de las Cuarenta Horas y Resurrección de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

The congress featured the participation of several local and regional authorities, including the Mayor of Tarancón, José Manuel López Carrizo, and the Vice President of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, José Luis Martínez Guijarro.
