Taranterrae celebrate 30 years of folk music at Settembre al Borgo

The 54th edition of the ‘Settembre al Borgo’ festival in Casertavecchia is celebrating its recent programming, highlighted by the 30th anniversary of the folk music ensemble Taranterrae. The group, which formed in 1996 to preserve the musical heritage of the Terra di Lavoro region, will perform ‘Il soffio della Tradizione’ at the Teatro al Borgo.

Prior to the Taranterrae performance, the festival featured a sold-out concert by Neapolitan singer-songwriter Enzo Gragnaniello, titled ‘Veleno, Mare e Ammore,’ which explored Mediterranean sounds and social themes. The festival also hosted a satirical monologue by journalist Marco Travaglio regarding politics and information.

Directed by Massimiliano Gallo, the festival continues with upcoming events, including a screening featuring Rocco Papaleo.
